Urban Air Travel Moves from Concept to Reality

Eve Air Mobility has taken a major step in shaping the future of urban air transportation by signing a $250 million binding agreement with Brazilian air mobility operator Revo and its parent company Omni Helicopters International (OHI). This landmark contract includes the procurement of up to 50 electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, along with comprehensive aftermarket and entry-into-service support.

With this agreement, Eve shifts from development to full-scale deployment, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of urban air mobility (UAM).

São Paulo to Lead the Global eVTOL Charge

São Paulo, one of the busiest cities for aerial mobility with over 400 helicopters and thousands of daily flights, will serve as the launch hub for Eve’s electric aircraft. Revo aims to electrify its premium door-to-door service, which currently combines car pickups and helicopter flights between major urban zones and airports like GRU International. This transition will cut travel times dramatically—transforming a 1.5 to 3-hour commute into a 10-minute zero-emission flight.

Why Revo Chose Eve

Revo’s CEO, Joao Welsh, cited Eve’s mature aircraft design, the strength of Embraer’s aerospace legacy, and the company’s robust operational support as key factors behind the decision. “These aircraft will serve as the foundation of our high-touch, sustainable transport network,” he said.

Omni Helicopters International Backs the Vision

Jeremy Akel, Group CEO of OHI, added: “Integrating Eve’s eVTOLs into our fleet supports our mission to lead the low-altitude economy and accelerate the future of aerial mobility.”

Eve TechCare: The Backbone of Fleet Operations

Eve’s proprietary TechCare platform will play a crucial role in supporting Revo’s operations. This suite of services is designed to help operators optimize fleet performance, streamline maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Additionally, Revo, OHI, and Eve have already collaborated on urban air traffic simulations using Eve’s Vector software, helping to map out safe and scalable UAM corridors in dense cityscapes.

Connecting the Last Mile with Clean Tech

Eve’s CCO, Megha Bhatia, emphasized that the eVTOLs are engineered to integrate seamlessly into existing transport systems. “Our aircraft are ideal for short-distance urban routes like airport transfers, allowing operators like Revo to complete the ‘last mile’ in a fraction of the time—safely, quietly, and sustainably,” she said.

 Looking Ahead

This deal marks a critical turning point in the commercial rollout of electric air taxis. With delivery slated to begin in late 2027, Revo and Eve are not only pioneering next-generation mobility in Brazil but also setting the stage for global adoption of eVTOL technology.
